Am I a Good Candidate for a House Call?

House calls are an excellent option for cat and dog owners who need basic care from a veterinarian in a low-risk environment. In-home care is also a good alternative for pets who have problems walking and struggle with bright lights and noises in an animal hospital. To schedule a house call with Fleur Pet Hospital, we kindly ask that meet these requirements:

• You are a cat or dog owner that lives within 10 miles of Fleur Pet Hospital
• Your pet is not experiencing an emergency, such as breathing difficulties, frequent vomiting, seizures, etc.
• You and all members of your household have not been in recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and are not experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, and body aches.

In-Home Services Our Veterinarian Provides

These following services qualify for a house call:

• Euthanasia
• Blood draw and urine samples
• Routine wellness visit (complete physical)
• Administration of vaccines
• Preventative care of fleas, ticks, and heartworms

Services like radiography, dentistry, and surgery are performed at our animal hospital.

If you have a dog, our veterinarian will conduct the scheduled service on an enclosed porch or backyard. If it is not possible to do the service outside, or if you have a cat, we will go inside your home.

What to Expect During a House Call

In-home visits are exactly like vet visits at the hospital, but less stressful for senior, handicapped, anxious, or ill pets.
